Radioactive Waste Management
Drum Scanning
ADAMOS is an automated segmented gamma scanning system, designed to characterise drums filled with radioactive waste. The system layout can be defined from the available options to meet specific requirements.
Liquid Waste
The LEM system allows to sample the liquid effluents and to perform a gross gamma measurement of the specific activity in Marinelli geometry.
Airborne Waste
A device collecting 3H and 14C samples from the air. It allows differential sampling of both oxygenated and deoxygenated forms of tritium and organic and anorganic forms of 14C.
The CPM-300 monitor is designed to continuously measure the alpha and beta particulates concentration in the air. The air can be sampled directly from working environments, ventilation systems or surrounding environments.
Monitoring of noble gas volumetric activity in ventilation stacks and the environment.
Standard Sources
France's largest manufacturer of radioactive sources based at Tricastin, LEA (the Radioactivity Standards Laboratory - Laboratoire d'Etalons d'Activitรฉ in French), subsidiary of the Orano Group, provides a wide range of standard and tailored-made sources for various application (medical, industrial, environment, radiation protection, research โ€ฆ). LEA also offers turnkey project management solutions, including high activity sourcesโ€ supply, installation and used sources recovery.
Decay Tank
The system of retention tanks is installed at the outlet of the gravity or vacuum sewer and is designed for: collection of radioactive wastewater in tanks, their detention until their activity has fallen below the legal release level by radioactive decay, drain into the sewer, including records of balances of activities of released radioisotopes.
